Also known as the Blue Wanderer Butterfly, they are famous for travelling long distances in large numbers along Australia’s east coast.
You are more likely to see them during very hot summers or very hot days, because they do not like cold climates.
Thousands of Blue Tiger butterflies can cluster together on trees and vines, even out on the Barrier Reef islands, giving the vegetation a beautiful blue-black appearance.
Captain James Cook reported seeing large numbers of Blue Tiger butterflies as he sailed up the coast of Queensland in 1770.

Thank you for delivering the butterfly wings. They arrived unexpectedly quickly. Very small package, good quality. For smaller kids as the elastic for the finger is not far from the middle of the wings, would be too short for older kids. But perfect for mine. My kids love wearing them before they go outside, flapping their wings and running around trees. Trying to be butterflies and trying to catch butterflies. Perfect gift.
