An indigenous educational resource designed by Aboriginal Artist , * Gerald McGregor and with his permission hand crafted by artisans working for the fair trade organization, Artisans Effort in Kolkata.

There are twelve appliqued cushions comprising six pairs of Aboriginal Symbols…clap sticks, Woman Sitting , Boomerangs, Didgridoo, Meeting Place and Man Sitting. A wonderful indigenous educational resource to help children with memory skills and concentration, whilst also teaching and appreciating different indigenous symbols.

Neatly presented in a drawstring bag approx. 25cms by 19cms.

Each soft “cushion” measures approx. 8cms by 8cms.
Artisans Effort is a producer based Organization all the Artisans needs and difficulties are closed understood . Not only does this purchase help to enrich the lives of many producers but it also helps to fund a school established in January 2014 by the founders of Artisans Effort, Ejaz and Shaista. The school is based in Asanol (West Bengal). As well as admitting paying students, Artisans Effort also covers the cost for some needy students.

*Gerald was born in 1973 and is of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nationality . His family have descended from the Burketown Region in far North Queensland , the GUNNDALEEDIE tribe. Coming from a family abundant in artistic talent, Gerald has found his own unique style of art ranging from traditional dot and animal inspired pieces, to otheres with a more contemporary feel, that reflects the view of the modern “urban” Aboriginal’s view of this beautiful country Australia.

Gerald has sold hundreds of art pieces over the last eight years both in Australia and all over the world. Gerald’s artwork has become well sort after and collectable, by art enthusiasts across the globe.
